Spicy Cacao Bircher
Ingredients
1/2 cup muesli or bircher mix ( can also sub for a mix of oats, nuts and seeds or buckinis)
1/2 cup nut milk or milk of choice
1 teaspoon cacao powder + 1 teaspoon mixed spice (or spices such as cardamon, cinnamon, nutmeg)
Toppings of choice e.g. berries, coconut yoghurt, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, coconut flakes
Method
All ingredients except toppings into a bowl and mix together. Place in the fridge overnight or for a few hours until the muesli has soaked up the nut milk
Remove from fridge and top with fresh fruit and, coconut yoghurt and your favourite superfoods and enjoy!
TIP: make a bigger batch and keep in the fridge during the week to have as a quick brekkie or ready made on the go breakfast. Also great as meal prep for a snack to take to work/uni/school!
